    Frankie, a transmasc non-binary painter, and their cisgender husband, Cam, a tender sculptor turned construction worker, are trapped in Cam’s rural hometown under the sway of Dick - his magnetic, domineering stepfather. When Frankie wins a life-changing Malibu arts residency, Dick’s obsession with Cam erupts, ensnaring the couple in a violent game of power, possession, and survival.

    Filming is slated for spring 2026 in upstate New York and Brooklyn, on a SAG Moderate Low Budget agreement. The project is backed by early seed funding and a successful crowdfunding campaign that has begun building a dedicated audience. The producing team brings an impressive track record, including winners of the Sundance U.S. Grand Jury Prize for Drama, as well as top honors at SXSW and Tribeca.

  • James Kautz - writer/director

    James is the Founder of RED SEED FILMS, an independent film production company focusing on stories of personal transformation, gender, and identity. The company’s award-winning shorts, written & directed by James, have been accepted into film festivals, world-wide, including Oscar, BAFTA, and Canadian Film Award-qualifying festivals. 

    He was the Founding Artistic Director of the award-winning, critical darling, Off Broadway theatre company, The AMORALISTS, producing 22 World Premieres by some of America's most visceral and celebrated playwrights including Adam Rapp, Charly Evon Simpson, Ken Urban and Emily Schwend.

  • Fiona Hardingham - Lead Producer

    Fiona produced the documentary series 'Go Gently' with Dash Pictures, hosted by climate activists Bonnie Wright and Pattie Gonia. She was the Series Associate Producer on Netflix's IDA-nominated 'My Love: Six Stories of True Love' and 2nd Unit Production Manager on Netflix's 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story'.

  • Daniel Tantalean - Producer

    Daniel is a 2023 Film Independent Producing Lab Fellow and producer of IN THE SUMMERS, winner of the U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. He is a 2020 and 2022 NALIP Latino Media Market Fellow, and was chosen for the prestigious 2024 Tribeca Creators Market with his documentary feature REBEL WITHOUT A PAUSE.

    His exceptional work has been featured at top film festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, Aspen ShortsFest, SFFilm, Hot Docs, and Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. Daniel was shortlisted for the 2021 AT&T Untold Stories Competition. Daniel produced the award-winning short doc ALE LIBRE which has been distributed by The New Yorker.

  • John Trefry - Producer

    John is a writer/producer with extensive narrative and documentary credits, whose work has competed at over a hundred festivals around the world including SXSW, Tribeca and Raindance.

    John's narrative credits include SOULS OF TOTALITY starring Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk), HOW TO BE ALONE starring Joe Keery (Stranger Things) and Maika Monroe (Longlegs) and 5150 starring Jovan Adepo (3 Body Problem) and executive produced by David Oyelowo (Selma).

  • Ramfis Myrthil - Producer

    Ramfis is a NY-based filmmaker who primarily produces films by people of color, women, and the LGBTQ community, promoting themes of passion and integrity.

    Ramfis’ first short, LOVE AND THE SMALL PRINT (2012), premiered at Cannes, acquiring worldwide distribution with Shorts International. His film CICADA (2021) received an Independent Spirit Award nomination and found worldwide distribution. His project 5150, executive produced alongside David Oyelowo, found success in the Tribeca Film Festival Creators Market (2021). Ramfis and fellow producer Shaggy debuted BAD LIKE BROOKLYN DANCE HALL (2023), a documentary celebrating Caribbean music culture, at Tribeca. His sci-fi feature UNIDENTIFIED OBJECTS (2022) achieved full theatrical release with Quiver.

  • Morgan Ruaidhri O'Sullivan - Frankie

    Morgan is an actor and activist, working in film, theater and commercials since childhood.

    Some of their most notable credits include playing the title character in Frankie (Official Selection at the Oscar Qualifying Raindance, Atlanta Film Fest and deadCenter, Winner of Outstanding Narrative Short at Tallgrass, Remi Winner at WorldFest Houston, Best Actor at Hamilton FF); starring in Not Us (Best Ensemble at FilmQuest, Best in Show at AwesomeCon); and co-directing The Bottom (finalist in the Oscar Qualifying Rhode Island Int’ FF, BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica, Best Actor at FilmQuest.)
